Benign tumor?: Hi. I'm sorry about the parotid gland; usually the lemon drops during the therapy period prevent that. I am assuming it's not a malignant tumor, or your doc would have already told you it needs to come out (I've never seen sialadenitis from 131-I cause cancer). Confer with the ENT surgeon you're seeing about risks vs. Benefits of removal. Good luck!See 1 more doctor answer
Sunflower seed size: In relation to your gland itself - the median volume of parotid is about 25, 262 mm3 and a size averaging 3.4 cm in the ventral-dorsal dimension and 5.8 cm in the craniocaudal dimension. Parotid Cyst: Most of the time a parotid cyst is benign. It is currently estimated that 80% of masses, tumors or cysts that occur in the parotid are benign, while 20% are cancerous. While the odds are certainly in your favor, best to have it evaluated to make sure it isn't something that is going to need surgery or other treatments.

Is it possible for me to develope a cyst or a tumor on the floor of my mouth if I have a cyst or tumor on both of my parotid gland, what do this mean?
Don't worry: It's not clear what is wrong with your parotid (salivary) glands, but cancer is very rare in this area and cancer usually doesn't occur on both glands at the same time. So I'm not worried. Parotid glands can get enlarged for many non-cancer reasons. You can also develop stones in them. See a dentist or doctor if you have a lump in your mouth.

I have a cyst on the left parotid gland nd I don't have any other systoms like dry mouth the only systoms I've is a swelling what does this mean?
Needs evaluation: 80% of parotid lesions are benign meaning 20% are malignant. Has there been an ultrasound or MRI to confirm it is a cyst? Cystic parotid lesions could be benign lymphoepithelial lesion, warthins tumor, etc. Some cysts may harbor cancers in the wall so suggest ultrasound and needle drainage of cyst and needle biopsy of any tumor in the wall. Suggest ENT eval. Dry mouth not always presentSee 2 more doctor answers

Is it possible that I develope a cyst in my right parotid gland becouse I sleep with my hearing aid in my right ear everynight when I go to bed?
I don't think so: I do not believe the two are related. They are really not that close. It would be more likely to form a blockage of the parotid gland duct. Make sure you are not experiencing dry mouth on just that side of your mouth.
I have a 0.3x0.2x1.5 CM complex cystic mass with multiple septation in my right parotid gland can you tell me what does this means?
Parotid mass: It could be a warthin's tumor from your description. It is a benign tumor but should be removed as it 'll continue to enlarge. See an ENT doctor.

Parotid mass: Both benign and malignant parotid tumors can present as a complex cystic mass. In looking at the percentages, 80% of masses in the parotid are benign while only 20% are malignant. Steps in evaluation could include needle aspiration biopsy which allows a look at the cells. This can possibly help to know if the lesion is benign or not. Either way, usually recommend removal of most parotid masses.
