I have recently had a freezing cold, swollen, numb but painful to touch, paralyzed, bruised coloured wrist with no injury, what could cause this?

CTS/ other Dx: It doesn't sound like fibromyalgia from your description. Fibromyalgia is a diagnosis of exclusion. You may need nerve conduction velocity/electromyogram studies to rule out peripheral neuropathy and imaging like an xray for a start and labwork. A # of possibilities: A transient episode of cramping and spasm can be something benign and no cause for concern, such as a reaction to overuse, an electrolyte imbalance or a medication side-effect. Without additional history or an exam i couldn't say whether its something more ominous such as impending stroke. Yes, no, maybe: "Disabled" has many different meanings, depending on exactly what the question is asking about. There are no perfect humans, which means everyone has some sort of disability or handicap. Of course, we can't call everyone disabled or else the word would become meaningless.
