What should I do if Paragard is falling out after eight months?

If you suspect it is falling out, you should see a doctor who can do an exam and see what is going on. If its really falling out, it needs to be removed and you will need a different contraceptive. In the mean-time, use condoms or abstain from intercourse. Best wishes! ...Read more

See your GYN: Iud help you should have your ob/gyn look and make sure it is in place. If it is not in the uterine cavity it's not doing it's job. The strings on a pargard should be soft and your partner should not feel them when you are having intercourse. You are at increased risk of pregnancy if your iud is not in the correct location. Hi, I have had the paragard IUD for a little over a month now. I noticed that strings tend to change length. Is this normal or should I be concerned?

Depends...: It would be worrisome if they got longer and longer. This would indicate that the IUD is not in the top of the uterus where it is supposed to be. But if you are just noticing that sometimes they are a little longer and sometimes a little shorter, its probably ok. If there is any question, you should see your doc who can do an u/s and verify that the IUD is in the correct position in the uterus. ...Read more

Can you tell me about paragard IUD and deep/rough sex?

Ask gynecologist...: Asking your gynecologist would be the most direct way to get an answer. I am not gyn-doc but urologist and based on what I have known about paragard IUD, which is a T-shaped device positioned inside uterus with string hanging out of cervix. Clinically, deep coitus should not be an issue although IUD has its own risk. In reality, an average penis should induce no hurt to women. More? Ask gyn-doctor ...Read more
