Paraffinum: liquidum is a form of mineral oil. It is a common ingredient in cosmetics including hair products. It has been regulated by the Food and Drug Administration and in the amounts found in common hair products can be considered safe. I doubt it would measurably affect vitamin absorption. Impacted ear wax: Impacted ear wax or cerumen is best softened with either hydrogen peroxide, debrox, Cerumenex or olive oil. I have found peroxide to be quite successful at softening ear wax at minimal expense. I do not recommend self irrigating your ear.
