Would pap test show UTI or any infection? Had 2 pap tests w/ no bad results, still have bothersome thick discharge that changes in color, 1 yr now.

Pap smear: Abnormalities are common , mild ones , like atypical cells of undetermined significance usually clear up on their own, can be related to inflammation. Other higher grade lesions are commonly associated with hpv and can be treated at the gynecologist's office. I have had an abnormal result from my pap test. I would like some more information about the procedure needed to remove the bad cells.
Just follow?: At age 23, it would be unusual to require any procedure to remove bad cells from the cervix. If your doctor is recommending this, it may be helpful to get a 2nd opinion.
