Can sex cause my pap smear test results of cells to come back low grade, not normal. Will having sex make it worse or does it have to affect on cells.

Can sex cause my pap smear test results of cells to come back low grade, not normal. Will having sex make it worse or does it have to affect on cells.

Sex and Pap tests: Nope. Not at all. Pap tests are microscopic and look for structural changes in the cells of the cervix to predict risk of cancer. Having sexual intercoarse plays no role in the results.

My pap smear test results are neg, but also says cervicitis my obg, says I repeat test in 6mths, should I have a 2nd opinion? As I am trying to conceive

My pap smear test results are neg, but also says cervicitis my obg, says I repeat test in 6mths, should I have a 2nd opinion? As I am trying to conceive

Yes: There is no need to repeat a pap smear unless it's abnormal. Cervicitis is treated with antibiotics and cervical infections can be evaluated for quickly without the need for waiting six months. First ask your doctor to explain the reasoning for their plan as they may provide informantion that would make it reasonable to wait. However if you are uncomfortable with the plan seek a second opinion.

Do not skip PAP!: Please do not skip your pap test. God forbid, the test comes back abnormal, it can be addressed by your doctor to prevent more serious issues.

Your Gynec should he: Did your gynecologist not explain the results to you? You should ask this question and find out what it means. To me, it looks like there is nothing serious but you need to rely on the guidance provided by your gynecologist and be alert and find out if you might have HPV infection which is common and can create some cellular changes, most of which resolve with time.

What is endocervical cells? I've done with my routine pap smear test, and this 2times of my results stated endocervical cells are present.

Endocervical cells: These cells line the innermost portion of the cervix and are normal. The endocervical canal leads to the endometrial cavity.

Pap smear test result is Mild Inflammtory cervical smear. I want to know what does it's mean. Pls reply to me. .

This report is norma: Inflammatory cells are white cells which roam around in our body. So you do not need to worry about this report. Pap is done as a screen for Cervix Cancer. So we look for atypical cells or any precancer like changes, but you do not have any of that in your report.

Atypical glandular cells - favor neoplastic was my pap smear test result. Negative colposcopy- & endocervical curretings result. Please explain.

Maybe benign and overcall: It is possible that the cells are reactive and they were over called as worrisome for cancer but in fact are completely normal this would explain the findings. You should have me look at the pap smear I will give you the right answer.

I leak sperms immediately after intercourse with my husband and am afraid is due to a pap smear test I had some time back?

Here are some...: What you observed and reported is "normally" expected since something in gets to have something to flow out according to the law of liquidity & gravitation. And such should not be related with recent/ prior PAP smear test. What is your concern? Fertility? Seek evaluation & counseling timely for specific "worry".

Does Ultrasound detect the reason behind irregular periods? Missed 2 months of periods, trying to concieve, PTest neg. Pap smear test got good result

Does Ultrasound detect the reason behind irregular periods? Missed 2 months of periods, trying to concieve, PTest neg. Pap smear test got good result

Infertility/amenorrh: Ultrasound can detect the reason behind irregular periods sometimes. The workup is stepwise beginning with history and physical. The medical provider will check blood work for hormone levels. You've had the pregnancy test and pap smear done so your pcp will probably order an ultrasound soon. If everything is normal then male causes of infertility will be explored. That's the usual pattern.

How often should I get a pap smear test?

How often should I get a pap smear test?

Depends: age, nl pap: According to the american college of ob/gyne, pap smears should begin at age 21, then every 2 yrs ages 21-29. Women 30 and older, if 3 normal yearly paps, can have pap every 3 years. Hiv+ women need pap twice in first year after diagnosis and then yearly. An abnormal result will change how often a pap is recommended. Notify doctor sooner if discharge, bleeding (esp after sex), or pain.

Can you lose your virginity due to a pap smear test?

No: Virginity means no sex. A pap test is not sexual. The speculum should not break your hymen, either.
