Breath: Breath in through your nostrils and fill your lungs with air. Hold for 5 count and then slowly exhale through an open mouth. Repeat x 12. Focus on your breathing. Allow your breathing to slow. The best thing i know to quickly abort marked panic or anxiety is acupuncture. Not so much: Panic attacks are sudden, discrete episodes of physical and emotional anxiety symptoms that last for 10-15 minutes and then subside. The person may have an ongoing level of anxiety, but usually not the full panic attack mode. People with panic d/o often fear having another attack. Please call your doc: If you're having panic attacks through the medications you're on, you need to contact the physician who's prescribing your Ativan (lorazepam) so s/he knows what's happening. Hopefully you're also on a medicine to prevent these attacks. You need to learn slow, deep breathing and calming as well. Psychotherapy could help reduce these attacks over time. Stay away from caffeine, alcohol, street drugs. ...Read more
