What diabetic oral drug doesn't have the side effect of pancreatitis as a side effect?

Acarbose?: The only oral hypoglycemic agent that isn't associated with pancreatitis as a common (known) side effect is acarbose, an alpha-glucosidase inhibitor. It can, however, cause a condition called pneumatosis cystoides. Just because a side effect is listed for a drug doesn't mean it will happen. Haven't heard of...: Haven't heard of a successful treatment to block the secretion or damaging effect of the pancreatic enzymes (the G.I. Specialists have tried some meds to decrease secretion on enzymes). ...Read more

Seems wrong: If the purpose of the Methadone is to treat pain, than dosing once a day is not optimal. Pain will return 8-12 hrs later if not sooner. Many docs will divide the dosage by three daily dosages ...Read more

Important. Cause ??: The normal Pancreatic Duct should be under 3 mm. Why you duct is dilated is uncertain, My guess is that you had inflammation of pancreas or gall bladder stone in common bile duct. You should be follewed by doctor. ...Read more
