What diabetic oral drug doesn't have the side effect of pancreatitis as a side effect?

What diabetic oral drug doesn't have the side effect of pancreatitis as a side effect?

Acarbose?: The only oral hypoglycemic agent that isn't associated with pancreatitis as a common (known) side effect is acarbose, an alpha-glucosidase inhibitor. It can, however, cause a condition called pneumatosis cystoides. Just because a side effect is listed for a drug doesn't mean it will happen. Studies only give an approximate idea of how frequent it is & diabetes alone can cause it w/o drugs, so it's ...Read more

I HAVE CHRONIC PANCREATITIS AND MY GI HAS ME ON 80 MG METHADONE EVERY AM SINCE 2003. NOW NOTHING WORLD. IF I GET OFF WILL OTHER MEDICINE WORK?

Hello Dr. I have got a case of acute on chronic calcific pancreatitis. Is ercp with eswl only treatment option available or any medicines??

No meds: There are no medications that will help with the stones. Surgical treatment by a surgeon with experience and interest in chronic pancreatitis has the best chance at longer lasting pain relief, but is obviously more invasive than ERCP with ESWL. Hope this helps! ...Read more

I have chronic pancreatitis and I feel like regular medicine hurts. Is cannabis a good alternative? And my anxiety depression insomnia and nausea?

I have chronic pancreatitis and I feel like regular medicine hurts. Is cannabis a good alternative? And my anxiety depression insomnia and nausea?
