Several wks : It depands on what dose of nortriptyline you were on and if it started after you were started on this new medicine , if you have any history of it before ( tardive dyskinesia ) as a referance i checked on uptodate.Com which is an authetic site for physicians and it says it might take upto several wks & do not require specific treatment but i would chk with my physician, just to be on the safeside. ...Read more
Just be careful: If you have been taking nortriptyline at bedtime for awhile now and you have adjusted to it well, having a glass of wine or two at dinner should not pose problem. Since alcohol is a depressant, especially when more than 1-2 drinks, combination with meds that can cause drownsiness can be dangerous for driving etc..So, just be careful. Stay safe.
