Pale Stools Symptoms
Is surgery indicated for gallbladder that causes tenderness, pale stools? Symptoms intermittent over years. Had sand yrs ago. Also have hiatal hernia.
Maybe/Maybe not.: The anatomy of the gallbladder, pancreas and liver needs to be assessed, possibly using ultrasound to look for problems in the region. If you are not having pain, or symptoms are not thought to be related to a problem with your gallbladder then the answer wouln't be cholecystectomy. Jaundice?: Pale stool, yellow skin, & dark-colored urination suggests biliary obstruction--due perhaps to a gallstone in bile duct &/or from pancreatic inflammation. Pale stools could be related to foods and poor bile flow. If transient it can be normal. If you have juandice associated it needs eval right away. Mal absorption of fats can cause that too. So as you you see there are many causes. Do place a consult with us so we can better help you.
