Most likely a screw-: -used 4 fixation 2 prevent rod rotation as well as 2 keep the fracture from moving rotation wise & from shortening. With time these can loosen because of the natural fact that bone moves, & flexes & the rod is rigid & the screws can back out. C Ur surgeon @ B checked.
