Painless Lump On Upper Arm
Painless movable lump under the upper arm pit that shrinks sometimes and then swell sometimes noticed about 4 months ago?
Armpit lump: Hello ~ this is most likely a small lymph node in the arm-pit and you have a low grade infection in the axilla (aka hidradenitis). If you shave the hair in your armpit, stop for a good 2 -3 weeks to allow infection to heal and if it gets worse go and see a Dr to get some antibiotics. Thanks ...Read more

I have a pea sized, smooth, purple/pink lump on my upper arm that has been there for a while. No pain or itchiness. What is it and how to I remove it?
See a derm: If it has been there for a long time and it has not undergone any changes and it's not painful then in all probability it is a non-worrisome lesion. It might be something called a dermatofibroma. However with this said I would definitely see a dermatologist to confirm it's benign nature. ...Read more

I think it would do: You more harm than good if doctors who don't know your husband's history start guessing what the path report will say. I know it is frightening to be in this position, but the best thing to do is wait it out for the final path report. Take care. ...Read more

It might be: The armpit is the location of normal lymph nodes, and they become more noticeable when they are enlarged associated with infection or tumor. If you have had an infection nearby, this could explain it. However, the safest thing to do is see your doctor right away for a thorough examination. Then whether or not a biopsy is needed will be determined. Best wishes:) ...Read more

I have 3 lumps under left arm. The 1st is firm & only hurts when I apply pressure but has pus n the other 2 r firm n painless. I've had the 1st for 1yr?
Not normal: Clearly, you shouldn't have multiple persistent lumps in your armpit. If there's pus, there's almost always infection that should be treated. Your doctor needs to determine whether it's a simple bacterial infection in the form of a boil or a more complicated problem called Hidradenitis suppurativa, In spite of its ominous sounding name, hydradenitis is manageable and doesn't spread. ...Read more

I am a 21 year old female and have a lump under the skin on my arm pit does not hurt and cannot see it but can feel it can you tell me what it can be?
Deep or superficial?: If its up in the skin and moveable it is most likely just a skin cyst. If it is deeper in the armpit between the muscles it may be an inflamed lymph node or fatty tumor. These can feel like a grape deep under the skin. If you are unsure, have an md look at it. If it persists longer than a couple months or begins to grow have it seen right away -- at your age it is most likely benign. ...Read more

Pain in the back of arm, feel small lump but feel bump on other side also- no pain. Is there a lymph node there? Should I be concerned?
Cyst?: Without seeing and examining you difficult to tell. Not likely to be a lymph node as it would be in the wrong area. This could be a simple inclusion cyst in the skin or possibly a small lipoma. Recommend you see your doctor for evaluation. Hope this helps. Best of luck ...Read more

I have a lump under my arm pit, been there now since may, not red and it's not sore. I have touched it and it solid / hard. Should I be worried?
Need to examine:
It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without examining you. However, you may wish to watch and wait. You may feel the node every couple of weeks, if the lymph gland doubles in size, becomes painful, ulcerates, or other nodes become enlarged, or you develop fever, you should see a doctor.

A few weeks ago I noticed a pea sized hard lump under my arm. No pain, no redness, no visual sign of anything. Should I get my physician to check it?
Yes: Unsure of where specifically you are speaking of, but it could be a lymph node and unsure if you are male or female as I do not see it above, but axillary lymph node swelling needs to be checked. It may be absolutely nothing to worry about, and most likely is, but it would be best to rule out scary things first. Is it in your armpit? Any breast masses? If so, get it checked sooner than later. ...Read more
