Prob not but ...: Hard things that are growing in size should be checked. A simple needle biopsy can confirm it's benign ( not cancer) And then you can relax. If growing rapidly or painful it should be removed ...Read more

Lipoma: I suspect that a 3x2cm lesion would be subcutaneous other wise not palpable. Intramuscular lesions, even those that are benign attain larger sizes when palpated. A lipoma can be firm and painless as well as a fibroma. These may change in size when palpated. I would only be concerned if the lesion were enlarging in size. ...Read more

If it is soft,: mobile fluctuant or slightly dense, and does not hurt then it's most likely a lipoma. If you decide to have a healthcare professional look at it, that should confirm it. Hard lump middle of upper inner thigh, it's been a month. Painless, doesn't pop. Occasionally gets bigger(quarter size), then shrinks(pea-size) help?

Have it checked: Most soft tissue lumps turn out to be lipomas, which are benign. That being said, a sarcoma needs to be ruled out. I would see your doctor and if needed, an orthopaedic oncology specialist. An MRI can confidently diagnose a lipoma. Most other entities may require a biopsy. ...Read more
