I'm 21 years old, and I have lumps on the right side of my neck, they are painless and aren't accompanied by any other symptoms?
Normal Body Function: Whether one feels sick our bodies are always fighting off infections or inflammations. These lumps are most likely lymph nodes where your immune system is working of stuff from your mouth and teeth and sinuses and throat and ears and the surrounding skin. This is normal. ...Read more

Noticed a small lima bean shaped lump on the base of my skull on the back of my neck on the left side. No pain or any symptoms.
Please can a regular doc.tell me what this painless moveable lump can be thats been on my neck for a few months with no symptoms?
It depends: Tanya, it could be many things. If the lump is on the back of the neck, it is most likely a lymph node. If it is on the front, it is still probably a lymph node, but could also be a thyroid nodule or several other things. In either event, if it has been present for that long, you should see your doctor, who can actually examine it. Hope this helps! ...Read more
My husband, 57, has a lump the size of a plum on the left of his neck near the adam's apple. It's painless. No other symptom. What can that be?
Get to a doc!: I agree with the previous answer. Though this may be something benign (not cancer), you need this evaluated by ultrasound to start, followed by either more imaging or biopsy. Cancer is my main concern; you need to get your husband in to see a doc as soon as possible! i hope it turns out to be something benign, which is certainly possible. Good luck! ...Read moreSee 3 more doctor answers

Moveable painless lump in front of neck between my r ear and chin. No other symptoms. Been there 5 plus years. Should I be worried that its cancer?
Lymph node: If it has been there and is unchanged for 5 years, cancer is unlikely. That area would be common for a benign reactive lymph node. Also possible to have a lipoma or other benign cyst. Neck region could also be a thyroglossal duct cyst. The best way to find a definitive answer is to see an ENT physician for a possible needle biopsy. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
Lump on right side of neck and under my chin. No symptoms of lymphoma except tiredness which i had for years. No pain
? Movable little lump
Many swollen neck lymphs. itchy eyes. Hard lumps started on collarbone(was painful now isn't), more painless ones formed in 3 months, rib cage, shin, back of neck few on chest. good blood work, blood counts, crp, clean chest x-ray. no other symptoms
Lymph glands: Generalized enlargement of lymph nodes are seen in infectious mononucleosis, malignant blood dyscrasias and other infections. I'm not sure that they would be found on the rib cage itself or on the shin bone. I recommend an evaluation by a hematologist or an infectious disease specialist. A lymph node biopsy as well as other tests may be advised by the specialist. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Lipomas, lymph nodes: A lipoma will feel free floating in the skin. You will not feel a boarder to it. A lymph node will have better definition to it. It also will feel deeper.
