Probably nothing but: The normal x-ray just means that it does't have calcification, not that it isn't there. The fact that it fluctuates in size is intriguing. You'll have to go into more detail to explain what maneuver makes it larger or smaller. No diagnosis seems reasonable at the moment. ...Read more

Lump: This may be the xiphoid process-a piece of cartilage at the lower end of the sternum(breast bone).
