Hello. : Hello. Cannot make a diagnosis through this venue. Although there can be swollen lymph nodes in that area; 1.5 inches in diameter would be much larger than expected. If it was a fatty tumor, would not expect it to have noticeable growth over ten days. If it is red, hot and tender, it could be an infected cyst. I agree with the doctor who examined you. It depends: A trigger point is the presence of tiny knots along a muscle fiber and when pressed may causes severe pain (jump sign).
