I have a medium to small lump right above the left side of my ankle on my left leg. It is not painful at all. Any ideas of what it is?
I have a medium: It could be a cyst which is filled with fluid and can happen after an injury or almost jello type tissue if you have had it for a while or a lipoma, that consists of fatty tissue , both cause no problems. I have a lump under my left knee I noticed end of Nov.noticed tightness in this same calf on/off. i.e. after hot bath.lump is soft.No pain. When I'm standing or laying flat it's not visible. Worked out a lot to do sprint tri but stopped lately. ?

See physician: Should get this looked at soon. Painless lumps are usually not infections or other simple problems. Was this a lump that changed or was there nothing there 5 days ago? Lipoma...: Lump which is contender, soft, or firm but on scan no concern . Common is deposits of fatty tissue in subcutaneous layer - it happens without reason. it is benign condition.
