Moveable painless lump in front of neck between my r ear and chin. No other symptoms. Been there 5 plus years. Should I be worried that its cancer?
Lymph node: If it has been there and is unchanged for 5 years, cancer is unlikely. That area would be common for a benign reactive lymph node. Also possible to have a lipoma or other benign cyst. Small squishy moveable pea size lump in the front of the neck/throat area. I have a lipoma on my neck/shoulder. Could this be another one??
Perhaps: Lipomas are usually firm and lumpy, something like a jellybean under the skin, would not call squishy. so I'm not sure what it is. Safest thing is to have a doctor look at it, but low risk of anything serious. You could also just watch it and make sure it doesn't change or enlarge, and see the doctor if anything changes.
