Have a painless lump in my lower eyelid in the middle. Is quite solid and red on the underside and has been there for a few weeks. Hurts if poked

Probable chalazion: A chalazion is caused by inflammation in meibomian glands. Initial treatment consists of warm compresses to the area for 5 minutes 4 times a day, along with lid scrubs. Depending on where: It is on your hand, and size can determine what it could be. Is it on the back or your hand, or palm? Is it tiny or is it large? When do you notice it? Is it by the wrist? There's a soft lump on my face. A little below my eye but close to my nose. Not firm and disappears when pushed down. Skin issue? Cancer? No pain.
It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without taking additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. It would be prudent to see your doctor, however, from what you described, cancer is not likely.

You did not specify where. If it is at the edge of the upper or lower eyelid, it's probably a stye.
