What are the risks for skin tag removal of hemorrhoids?

What are the risks for skin tag removal of hemorrhoids?

No real risks: Except infection which is minimal. The real problem is that in healing after surgery, skin tags can reform, they are usually smaller but your bottom will probably never look like a baby's bottom. Additionally, insurance may consider it cosmetic and therefore would not cover the surgery. I frankly discourage patient s from having the tags removed. If hygeine is due to pasty smeary stools, removing. ...Read more

Hemorrhoid: An external hemorrhoid is often left alone if it's not causing any symptoms and it would need to be removed surgically or by injection therapy as banding is done for internal ones. If you have further concerns, consult a proctologist or colorectal surgeon. ...Read more

I have painless external thrombosed hemorrhoid. How can I treat it at home?

Avoid constipation: Constipation and pushing hard to have a bowel movement can cause hemorrhoids. Avoid constipation by increasing fiber in your diet or adding a fiber supplement. A stool softener can also help. Once you stop pushing hard the hemorrhoid sometimes shrinks. Make sure a physician like a colorectal surgeon or gastroenterologist looks at it to make sure it is not cancer or warts (not likely to be cancer). ...Read more

I have had several internal hemorrhoids removed and now I have to wipe excessively to get clean. Sometimes an hour or two later, i wipe again but very little. No blood, no pain no urge to go.

Pasty gooey: Hard to clean stool is usually due to a lack of fluids usually about 40 ounces short for the day. Stay away from caffeine and alcohol and increase your fluids. This should help in 3-4 days. You may also have had damage to your sphincter muscles from the surgery. This too needs to be evaluated. ...Read more

Hemorrhoid Care: It is important not to make hemorrhoids worse. Cleaning off after a bowel movement should be gentle. Pre-moistened towlettes can be used to dab the anus. Don’t wipe/rub. Pat the anus dry after cleaning. Avoid using harsh soaps that contain dyes or aromas. Cotton underwear is helpful as it absorbs moisture well. Sitz bathes can be helpful. I had internal anal hemorrhoids(painful). How long until they completely heal? When can I have anal sex with my partner? There's nearly no pain

I had internal anal hemorrhoids(painful). How long until they completely heal? When can I have anal sex with my partner? There's nearly no pain

A few days to weeks: Hemorrhoids can take anywhere from a few days to a couple of weeks to heal, and I'd say once they stop bleeding and cease being painful you can resume anal sex with your partner. If the hemorrhoids become thrombosed (get a blood clot within them) it can take up to 3 months to heal on their own and more intensive treatment may be necessary. ...Read more

Stool softner: If the only problem is itching and you know it is a hemorrhoid then stool softeners can help decrease the irratation of bowel movements which will decrease the inflammation. However other things can cause rectal itching, such as worms. If hemorrhoid meds & stool softener does not decrease it you might want to be checked. If blood, drainage need exam. ...Read more

I have a hemorrhoids at my anus and only comes out when i visit the toilet. It is painless and doesn't bleed. Kindly advice me on how i can treat this?

Fiber supplement: Start out conservatively with daily fiber supplement such as metamucil but you can choose any of them at the grocery store whether one prefers a powder to mix with water, tablets or wafers. If this fails after 1-2 months then consider anoscopy with rubber banding of internal hemorrhoids which can be done simply in the office in a few minutes. ...Read more

External hemorrhoid right outside anus, it's not hard & no pain, but bleeds.Been there a long while.Over the counter treatments for it please?

Treat constipation: For hemorrhoids i would use a stool softener to keep stools runnier. Also, it will decompress the bowel and allow the hemorrhoids to start to shrink. I would use any over the counter hemorrhoid medication. They all work reasonably well. Finally, i would use a step stool in the bathroom to keep knees above hips while on the toilet to minimize straining. ...Read more
