That's possible: It is possibly related to bruxism or grinding/clenching of your teeth, which is not that uncommon. Sometimes you can nip the side of your tongue....then it swells and is more easily bitten again. Bruxism is considered a sleep-disorder related to unconscious muscle contraction. White bump: sounds like it could be an Apthous ulcrr.. However I would definitely have it checked by your dentist when it is acute not after its healed. that would give him the best information to make a proper diagnosis ...Read more

Probably a fibroma: Glad you had it biopsied...a fibroma is benign and can be old "scar" tissue where you've traumatized or bitten(maybe accidentally) your tongue. The next most common thing would be verrucous in nature(wart). If you're bothered by it you're dentist or oral surgeon can remove it, preferably with a diode laser ...Read more
