Lymph nodes: The lymph nodes usually enlarge as response to an infection in the vicinity.It lasts maximum 2-3 weeks and as the infection goes away (with antibiotics usually) the lymph nodes disappear. Outside this scenario, i would be worried and demand further investigation (ct is appropriate, a blood smear and CBC with differential, as well as a bmp with enzymes markers analysis) up to an excision biopy. ...Read more

I was sick 2 years ago so badly all lymph nodes in neck swelled, one is still swollen but not bad at all. Is it calcified. Doesn't hurt, can't see it?

Maybe: Sometimes lymph nodes react to infections and when the infection is over they stay enlarged. If the node is not tender and stable probably nothing to worry about. You would need some type of Xray to tell if it is calcified. Don't think that is worth he trouble. ...Read more

I'm also curious -- you say you're not sick at all, yet you list a gravely serious hepatitis diagnosis. Go to see MD: You should go to see your doctor and get yourself checked. There are different things like autoimmune disorder, infection, chronic inflammation or malignancy - at your age- hodgkin's lymphoma, testicular cancer are things to be ruled out. However since you mentioned that it has been there for 3 years -then hodgkin's , leukemia /ca would be less likely-as the problem. Go to see your doc for eval. ...Read more
