A : A lump in the arm pit (axilla) that presents suddenly, may be a cyst, abscess (infection) enlarged lymph node, or even a tumor. You have to consider the fact that it may have been small and went unnoticed until recently. There are many questions that would give a clue as to what it is. Does it hurt? Is it red? Have you had fever? Recent weight loss? I suggest you go in to see your doctor for an evaluation.
