Today i just found a lump under my left breast on the rib cage. It is very painful and I have another on left back rib which radiates to the front. Are these symptoms of cancer?

Many swollen neck lymphs. itchy eyes. Hard lumps started on collarbone(was painful now isn't), more painless ones formed in 3 months, rib cage, shin, back of neck few on chest. good blood work, blood counts, crp, clean chest x-ray. no other symptoms

Lymph glands: Generalized enlargement of lymph nodes are seen in infectious mononucleosis, malignant blood dyscrasias and other infections. I'm not sure that they would be found on the rib cage itself or on the shin bone. I recommend an evaluation by a hematologist or an infectious disease specialist. A lymph node biopsy as well as other tests may be advised by the specialist. ...Read more

Found a lump on rib cage 8 months ago.Now 3. Painful when agitated, didn't hurt for 5 months until last week when i pulled my left side muscle.

Bone spur: The usual cause of superficial lump is lypoma. Rarely could it be a small bony growth or neuroma. A lypoma is usually painless, freely mobile, and remains stable over time. Bone spur is hard, fixed and tender on palpation. Neuroma may or may not painful but usually fixed. Just monitor for changes in size, superficial ulceration, changes in color and any suspicious changes talk to your PCP. ...Read more

Probably not: It's probably a little lump called a lipoma. That's a harmless collection of fatty tissue that for some unclear reason has decided to glomm together there. I've seen some as big as your fist. But, let a doctor take a look at it and examine it before you write it off as nothing to worry about. ...Read more

Lumps should: Always be investigated. Painfree does not indicate anything in terms of possible malignancy. Hopefully, its something benign like a lipoma or ganglion but it warrants an exam, my preference is biopsy. ...Read more

Hard lump on right side towards back, at bottom of rib cage. Not painful but noticeable if I lift or do something strenuous. Dr isn't concerned tho??

Lipoma: It might be a Lipoma which usually is a benign tumor of adipose tissue and just needs to be watched. Likely that is the reason your doctor is not concerned. But do follow up with him so he can keep an eye on it. Thanks. ...Read more
