Painful Lump On My Left Calf
1
I have a medium to small lump right above the left side of my ankle on my left leg. It is not painful at all. Any ideas of what it is?

I have a medium: It could be a cyst which is filled with fluid and can happen after an injury or almost jello type tissue if you have had it for a while or a lipoma, that consists of fatty tissue , both cause no problems. However, if the lump is getting bigger or is not going away, best to see a podiatrist or a surgeon , get an ultrasound and/or an MRI to find exactly what it is. ...Read more

I get a painful lump in my left calf while getting up in the morning. It disappears almost immediately but some pain remains there. What is it?

Sensitive painful hard lump on my left leg just below my knee on the left side of my calf... Any ideas of what it could be?
Can be anything!: Hard painful lumps and bumps need to be evaluated by your PCP, or dermatologist for further evaluation. So a physical examination needs to be done for definitive diagnosis. ...Read more

Just discovered a painful, small lump near the bottom of my left calf. No ins. Need advice. Only painful when touched. Not visible. Ideas?

Cyst: If it is not visible, then most likely it's not inflammatory, because those are red, hot, swollen, itchy. Ganglion cysts (cysts located on the tendons) are by far the most common cause of otherwise not painful lumps unless touched. They are smooth surfaced, firm, mobile. They are benign and sometimes may disappear, although, at times may grown and cause even more pain due to compression. ...Read more
