I have a medium to small lump right above the left side of my ankle on my left leg. It is not painful at all. Any ideas of what it is?
I have a medium: It could be a cyst which is filled with fluid and can happen after an injury or almost jello type tissue if you have had it for a while or a lipoma, that consists of fatty tissue, both cause no problems. However, if the lump is getting bigger or is not going away, best to see a podiatrist or a surgeon, get an ultrasound and/or an MRI to find exactly what it is. ...Read more
I had 1 large painful lump in lower right leg starting a wewk ago now another has formed. They are about the size of a plum cut in half. It even hurts?

This is something I would bring to your doctor to see and evaluate. Thanks ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Not necessarily: It's difficult to say based on the info you provided. As is the lump in the deep muscle, superficial skin or bone. If it's in the bone, it could be related to a bone callus. If its the deeper muscle, it could be myositis ossificans, which is a calcium deposit in the muscle after truama. Skin wise, that could be a hypertrophic amongst other things. I was bitten by a dog 5 weeks ago and still have a hard lump on lower leg, what could this be? I haven't much feeling on the lump but sore around it
Scar tissue: Most likely the hard lump is scar tissue. As the wound heals, scar tissue forms and it is more dense and feels harder than normal skin. It would be unlikely this far out to have a wound infection, but If there is increased redness, swelling, pain or red streaks, I suggest being seen. I hope this helps. ...Read more
Lumps and Bumps: Hi, sorry you are not feeling 100%. Bumps or lumps on people always cause alarm, but seldom are harmful. Many times it is fat cells, (lipoma) which is a benign, soft, lump under the skin. See your doctor soon for exam. Take care, and good luck! ...Read more

Aboligothalomatubro!: I have the same thing and it's a lethal terminal Aboligothalomatubro tumor. JUST KIDDING! But I do have the same thing.
