Painful Lump On Left Ribcage
Lump on left ribcage, no trauma previously. MRI doesn't show lipoma that Dr. Thought it MIGHT be. Growing and painful. "Normal" fat act like this?
Need to be examined: A painful mass always needs to be worked up. There are numerous things it could be, but first step is to see your doctor.
Varies: There area many possibilities and usually a detailed exam and appropriate studies can determine the cause. Potential causes include a superficial problem with the rib itself, or something deeper such as: a thoracic radiculopathy, gallbladder, lung, andgi problems to name a few. Consider being checked. Thank you.
I have a small painful lump on my ribcage. Been there for years and not changed. Should I be concerned?
Not really but.. ...: ....2 b sure it would b a good idea 2 have it evaluated by ur pcp on a non emergency basis. The fact that it has not changed in size usually means that it is not a malignant process, but the fact that it is painful warrants an eval.
I have this same lump on my back just below my ribcage on the right side and it is very painful especially while sitting down and when I stretch I can?
Skin or deeper?: If this is in your skin and not discolored. It is probably an oil gland cyst. Anything more than this requires a real physical doctor to observe and advise.
My left ribcage's always been deformed and uncomfortable although doctors ignored it. Recently I've noticed 2 hard lumps that move around in it, help?

Next physical exam: Point this thing out to your physician. It's common to have a bump on one of the costochondral joints. They can grow funny when they're fusing. They mean nothing whatever. If it's been there for a long time, it's almost certainly nothing. But do show your physician.See 3 more doctor answers
Felt lumps under my bottom last ribcage on the left, they r tender to touch and is not on the skin about size of half a pea, wen I flex I cant feel it?
Lumps: These small lumps may be lipomas which are benign fatty tissue growths and can be small and multiple. They are not usually tender unless they are irritated. A physician would have to examine you for accurate diagnosis, however.
Lipoma?: Most often, a large lump in that area in a 24 year old would be a fatty tumor called a lipoma. It's best to get any lumps checked out by exam.

Sebaceous cyst: Sebaceous cysts are very common problems. The occur when skin glands get obstructed and sebum builds up. They may get infected leading to redness pain and increasing size. You should see your doctor to have the cyst removed. Until then warm compresses and oral analgesics like acetaminophen and ibuprofen can help decrease the pain.See 1 more doctor answer

Have a small lump on left side of ribcage just slightly below it, feels like a pea moving under the skin, can move it, no pain. Only felt when standin?
Lipoma: It sounds like you may be describing a benign lipoma which is a fatty tumor. Cysts of the skin or sebaceous cysts could be similar. Obviously, if it grows, becomes irritated, or tender you need to see a medical provider. Certainly if you are concerned and worry about constantly see someone now. Good luckSee 1 more doctor answer
