Otitis externa: Have you been swimming recently? It might be a swimmer's ear (otitis externa) which is a local skin infection of the ear canal. It could also just be a skin infection formed by clogged pore, kind of like a small abscess. I would apply a topical antibiotic like neosporin to the area 3x/day. Don't worry: It sounds like you have a small cyst. Do no worry but try applying some warm compresses to it. Put warm water on a washcloth and hold it to your ear a couple times a day. It should resolve on its own in a week or two. If it does not, or if it enlarges see your doctor for further evaluation. ...Read more
