I found an odd lump in my chest right by my collarbone; what could it be? It seems like a bone almost when you touch it and it's fairly large but I just recently found it and it did not exist before nor is it painful. What could it most likely be?
Hello.: Hello. What you are describing might be a subclavicular lymph node. If you were a heavy smoker, with other health problems, it could sometimes be enlarged with lung cancer. However, you are not listing those type of things. However, I would recommend that you get it checked out. Lymph nodes drain germs, dead white blood cells and gunk from areas of inflammation or infection. On the other hand, it you have had clavicular injury in the past, it could be due to that. ...Read more

Cancer is possible, specifically Hodgkin's lymphoma given your age, although enlarged lymph nodes in Hodgkins are more often painless. Other cancers would be less likely. Make an appointment to see your doctor so that it can be evaluated. Overall odds are that it is not going to be something serious. ...Read more

Many swollen neck lymphs. Itchy eyes. Hard lumps started on collarbone (was painful now isn't), more painless ones formed in 3 months, rib cage, shin, back of neck few on chest. Good blood work, blood counts, crp, clean chest x-ray. No other symptoms
Lymph glands: Generalized enlargement of lymph nodes are seen in infectious mononucleosis, malignant blood dyscrasias and other infections. I'm not sure that they would be found on the rib cage itself or on the shin bone. I recommend an evaluation by a hematologist or an infectious disease specialist. I have a small pea size lump on my left collar bone, it moves & is painful also large lump on left wrist both appeared at same time. What are these?
Ganglion cysts: Most likely they are ganglion cysts. It is pretty common to get one at your wrist. As far as collar bone goes, it depends on where it is located. If it is more towards your shoulder at the ac joint then it is more likely to be a small ganglion. Because the rest of the collarbone does not have any joints in it, it would be more rare for it to come up there. I would have it checked out by ortho. ...Read more
