Painful lump in bikini line. Hernia?

Painful lump in bikini line. Hernia?

Not likely.: Most painful lumps are inflasmmatory. A deep boil, or inflammed lymph nodes are quite likely. Although not usually painful, a lipoma can be present, and these fatty benign tumours can be irritated!

Sounds like: It could be either a lipoma or a hernia. In either case your doctor should be able to examine you and make the correct diagnosis so that it can be properly treated especially since you are having pain with it.

Strech mark on side of hip has a red painful lump coming out of it. Can strech marks get hernias? If not what could this be

Strech mark on side of hip has a red painful lump coming out of it. Can strech marks get hernias? If not what could this be

It could be a hernia: Technically stretch marks can not get a hernia, but you could have a hernia below a stretch mark. A hernia occurs whenever the fascia of the abdominal wall comes apart to allow tissue to bulge through below. The fact that you have a red and painful bump suggest a possible abscess. I recommend you see a doctor.

Why do I still have a painful lump following umbilical hernia repair 6 weeks ago?

Why do I still have a painful lump following umbilical hernia repair 6 weeks ago?

It could just be: ... the suture material beneath your bellybutton that was used to repair the hernia. The best thing to do is to see the surgeon who did the operation, have him/her re-examine you, and see what he/she has to say.

I coughed very hard while deficating, felt a pop inside me. Now lots of pain and pressure 3 inches above my rectum. I feel lumps under my skin putting painful pressure on my upper buttock. Is this a hernia?

Rectal: Rectal hernias are very rare. They are often confused with hemorrhoids. Rectal prolapse is a possibility (rectum protruding through the anus). Regardless. You need to see your doctor right away for an evaluation. If you still have the pain and pressure and you are unable to see your doctor present to your local urgent care or er.

I had a hernia surgery 2 yrs ago they used the mesh by my groin area. I have a tender lump below the mesh and it's a little painful?

Recurrent hernia: One thing I would be worried about is a recurrent hernia. The other possibility is an enlarged lymph node. A good physical exam with your doctor may be able to distinguish between the two, other wise you might need a ct scan or an ultrasound.

Painful groin lump one week after angiogram and stent softens when massaged. Is it more likely to be a hernia than infection or lymph?

Painful groin lump one week after angiogram and stent softens when massaged. Is it more likely to be a hernia than infection or lymph?

Pseudo aneurysm: Lump at the site of an angiogram is usually a pseudo aneurysm or a hematoma. Which is very common after stent placement. I recommend to let your cardiologist know and get arterial duplex of the femoral artery.

I 54 yo postmenopausal, with painful lump on l side of groin area, just above the crease where thigh meets the groin. Bitter taste in mouth. Hernia?

Could be: A groin or inguinal hernia. Tender lymph nodes can also occur in the same region. Neither of these conditions would be related to a bitter taste. See a doctor for an exam to tell what you may have.
