Why is left upper abdominal lipoma so painful.hurts when moving, pressing, coughing twisting.sound like cancer?surgery on 29th.had for yrs but nvr hrt
Painful lipoma: Some lipomas have sensation associated with them. Others develop over time. Cancer is #37 in our differential, so...really no. As this is a recent development, a visit to your dermatologist for evaluation and a possible ultrasound would be warranted. These are very easy to remove through a small excision in an outpatient setting. Ask about removal. ...Read more
Left upper quad abdominal lump. Ultrasound diagnosed lipoma twice.no growth within year.very painful when coughing or pressure applied. Cancer?
Be seen: A lipoma is a benign growth of fatty tissue and usually does not cause pain, nor is it usually tender. So if you are having symptoms of pain, I would definitely get some further testing or even consider an excisional biopsy. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
What do you advise if I'm having a multiple lipoma in the body, I'm having a pain in the left abdomen what can I do?

Perhaps you should discuss with your OB. ...Read more

Severe abdomen pain. Dx with bi-lateral hernia's, but then was told they are only "fatty lipoma hernia's" What are they? Are they serious?
That is a bit strang:
Hernias are common and by definition, it means that part of your abdominal viscera(contents like intestine) is slipping out, through the abdominal wall.
Fatty lipomas does not make much sense to me. If you have a hernia it will pop out when you try to cough. Lie down in bed and check it out.
I would advise you to seek a second opinion from a good surgeon before trusting the first one's diagnosis. ...Read more
