Why I always hiccup after eating something?

Why I always hiccup after eating something?

Eat too fast or much: Many things may cause hiccoughs; sometimes
cause is unknown, but can be very prolonged, very bothersome, and intractable even with various treatments. In your case, suspect you are eating too much, too fast. Slow down, chew the food well, relax while eating, drink 1-2 glasses of water during the meal. In other words, eat the way all your 20 something year old friends probably don't. ...Read more

Why do I get hiccups after eating carrots? Usually anytime I eat raw carrots

DON'T know: Hiccups are the uncontrolled contractions of the diaphragm muscle (which controls breathing). This fetal reflex is thought to get the 'new born ready to breath' before birth.
In you, raw carrots happen to be a trigger. It is probably the
texture of the food impacting the esophagus (food pipe). I guess you have to eat them cooked. ...Read more

Why do I get hiccups whenever I eat? Even after only a few bites of food. They stop after eating but make eating uncomfortable.

Hiccups: Your symptoms are suggesting diaphragm irritation through possible esophageal distension. Would suggest taking really small first bites, give it a good chew effort, 1-2 sips of water, swallow and wait few seconds, then go for the next bite. This way you will avoid forming a large bolus in your distal esophagus. Timing is critical. ...Read more

Still hiccuping after eating 3 months post-nissen fundoplication. Is this permanent? Otherwise, surgery was complete success.

Hiccups post Nissen: This is likely related to ingesting air. Many reflux patients swallow air. This behavior must be "unlearned". It often resolves with time but takes months. Delayed gastric emptying is also possible. Try simethicone to see if it improves symptoms. Also avoid carbonation, gum, straws, raw veggies, and crunchy foods as these all increase gastric air swallowing. ...Read more

How soon after eating greasy foods would troublesome gallstones become painful? ?

Biliary colic: Dietary fat causes release of gut hormones that stimulate the gallbladder to empty its stash of extra bile. Bile aids digestion. It takes about 20 minutes for this stimulation to occur. Many gallbladder patients give a range of 5 to 60 minutes after eating, that the pain, biliary colic, starts. Of course if gallstones attempt to pass, get stuck, it can become very serious health risk. Be well. ...Read more

My waist feels very tight and tender, almost painful if I push on it. It gets worse after eating. It also makes it very hard to have an erection.

No pun intended: "very hard to have an erection"

It's ironic.

First, you should probably have your stomach area/diet checked out. There are a number of problems you could have with digestion etc.

Second, don't worry about the erection. You're likely to be fine after the First problem is figured out since it is likely just the pain causing havoc. ...Read more

Gas can also be an issue with carbonation, swallowing air when chewing, high fiber intake, bacterial overgrowth, gluten intake etc. See GI if not responding as expected. ...Read more
