Possible neuritis: There is a possibility that you could be suffering from what is referred to as a glossopharyngeal neuritis or neuralgia depending on the characteristics of your pain (i.e. sharp and transient vs. more continuous and burning). Causes: For bms are multifactorial - etiology can be medical (systemic) pharmaceutical, oral candidiasis and the list goes on. I would recommend being evaluated by an oral surgeon if your dentist hasn't been able to help. Ought also to consult with your physician. Hope this helps. ...Read more

See md: Go to see your doctor and get yourself checked. Especially ask to examine the growth on the back of the tongue. Your doctor then can refer you to see an ear nose and throat doctor for further examination including a biopsy if the growth is confirmed and looks suspicious. ...Read more
