Painful bumpy rash under my breast. Only when I wear underwire bra. Allergy?

Painful bumpy rash under my breast. Only when I wear underwire bra. Allergy?

Possibilities: I agree w the 2 other answers you received. However, direct contact with metal is not common. If the bra is worn out it could expose the underwire. However there is a thick cloth channel surrounding it & the wire is coated in plastic. The underwire can actually break. Yeast infections are not uncommon & excessive pressure from the wire against skin can be problematic. ...Read more

My left breast has been itching and has a minor rash. My whole body also itches, and its very cold in here. Could this be allergies or cancer?

Not cancer: Cancer usually does not itch you need to have someone examine the area if the problem persists. However you may simply have dry skin for which applying a moisturizer immediately after bathing may help. Then it may also be from a contact allergy especially if you had worn a new bra which had not been washed prior. ...Read more

I have underArm bruises with on and off rashes, size 36K breasts and try to wear fitting bras and most times I do not wear a bra at home, causes?

I have underArm bruises with on and off rashes, size 36K breasts and try to wear fitting bras and most times I do not wear a bra at home, causes?

Allergy?: Perhaps the rashes are due to an allergy? I would try a different deodorant.
Liquid washing products and clothes drying additives can also be a source of allergic sources.
The bruises might be due to small size bra. Google bra fitting and they tell you how to measure and calculate fit. If bra pinches it could possibly bruise the skin.
Hope these ideas help. ...Read more

Is it more likely to have an allergy to caffeine, or stimulants in general? Skin rashes appear on lower face and upper chest. Testing for this?

Is it more likely to have an allergy to caffeine, or stimulants in general? Skin rashes appear on lower face and upper chest. Testing for this?

Quite rare: I don' recall ever seeing someone allergic to caffeine. As each stimualnt drug is quite different chemically from others an allergy to all stimulants is even less likely. There is also no skin or blood test for such an allergy but that doesn't mean it can't be done. A double-blind challenge is the method used to establish a relationship between a cause & an effect. Your local allergist can help. ...Read more

I've had an itchy rash under my breasts for a few weeks now. I think it is from my sports bra since I run 5x a week. Is this common? Any remedies?

Yes: It may be from the rubbing (irritant) or a contact allergy to the rubberized part of the bra. If you sweat a lot, a monilial infection can cause a rash as well-in which case, try antiperspirant under the breasts on a regular basis. ...Read more

I have a strange rash inbetween my breasts. I change my bra everyday and am very hygienic, though I sleep with my bra on. How can I get rid of my embarrassing rash? Should I not sleep with my bra?

Rash: I suspect you have a yeast infection on your skin. Your skin doesn't get a chance to dry out cause you wear your bra to bed. I would stop doing that. It has nothing to do with hygiene. Try some over the counter Lamisil (terbinafine) and see if that works, if not see your doctor. ...Read more

I originally wore a sticky bra. It gave me an awful rash. I noticed a almost skin color mole type bump on my breast that was itchy also. Is this bad?

If reacting to bra..: If skin reacts to a sticky bra's adhesive, or to the material in the bra, she can avoid using that brand of bra. For such an itchy rash, sometimes using a few days of over-the-counter hydrocortisone cream will help the irritated skin get back to normal. A mole in that location would itch too, but should also return to normal. Otherwise, one can get a primary doctor's or dermatologist's exam. ...Read more

I am experiencing rash on back, under breast and under armpit along bra line, worst under the hook of my bra. They are like big VERY ITCHY red bumps?

Contact allergy: You may be allergic to something in your bra and the metal in the bra hook. You may try a different make of bra and one with a plastic hook. Wash the bra thoroughly before use. See that your bra is not too tight.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form.
Practice safe sex, if you have sex.

I have a red bumpy rash on my back it itchs awful. I so itch at the bend of my knee and both sides of my breasts and there is no rash...?

Rash or not?: You said that you have a bumpy rash on your back. If I read your question correctly, you are having itching on your knees and chest but no rash. This could be a sign of eczema, dry skin, contact dermatitis or even another medical illness altogether (like thyroid disease). I would suggest you see your doctor. In the meantime, a topical antihistamine cream or steroid cream may help. ...Read more
