Painful Bump Under Skin In Armpit
I have been finding these painful hard bumps under the skin in my armpits. They come and go. Not sure if should be worried about them.
Have them Checked: Sounds like lymph nodes? Male/female don't ignore. The axillary nodes receive drainage from the arm, thoracic wall, and breast. Infections, including cat scratch disease, are common causes of axillary lymphadenopathy. Could be insignificant to even cancer. Also rare, silicone breast implants can cause supraclavicular and axillary lymphadenopathy; regional node. ...Read more

Painful hard and warm bump came mid day yesterday on armpit no head to it. I use natural deodorant and shower daily and use baby powder.
Pustule?: Bumps on armpit areas may be small boils (skin infections; small abscesses) related to hair follicles, or oil or sweat glands. A visit to one's primary care doctor does help, as bumps are very hard to describe in words. Antibiotics may be needed, if there are signs of infection. Others causes of bumps are possible, but less likely. If bumps are mysterious-looking, a dermatologist can examine them. ...Read more

Small, painful bump in the middle/crease of my armpit. I can feel this on my skin just by running my finger lightly over the area. Should I be worred?
Small infection?: You may have folliculitis, a small infection of a hair follicle. Or if you feel a little lump, you may have an abscess. Abscesses will sometimes open and drain on their own; you can use hot compresses to encourage this. If it becomes very painful and does not drain, you should see a doctor for evaluation and possible drainage if there's a boil/cyst/abscess. ...Read more

Bf is 45 has a nickel sized raised very round hard bump under the skin in his armpit very painful has apt tomorrow but we are scared what could it be?
Possible abscess: This is a common location to have an abscess, a local skin infection, which is easily treated by opening it and allowing it to drain, which may hurt briefly, but will release the pressure and there will be less pain afterwards as it drains. Other causes are possible of course, but that seems most likely. The doctor will sort if out, but it is probably nothing major, depending on your BF's health, ...Read more
I've been itchy for over a week in armpit kept scratching now I have a bump under the skin. Not painful also have possible ibs use colpermin?
A few thoughts: Colpermin usually doesn't cause itching but because it's a natural substance, it's hard to say for sure because those compounds are not as regulated as prescription medications. You could try not taking it for a few daysto see if it helps your symptoms. Try not to scratch as this can cause irritation to your skin. Possibly the bump under the skin is a cyst that formed as a result of the scratching ...Read more
I have a rash on one armpit, its little red bumps with heads and there is one bump that is very swollen even under the skin. It is painful and itchy?
This Is The Pits...: You may have the beginnings of an infection in that area. If it gets too advanced it could become a real problem that's hard to get rid of and at that point it would be called :hidradenitis suppuritiva" which means a recalcitrant infection of the armpit (s). Best to get it looked at and treated right away. It's not likely to go away on its own and that big lump is a sign of that. ...Read more

I have two hard bumps under my skin under my armpits. What could they be? I changed soaps recently and use the same deodorant, wore a jacket.
Plugged glands?: Most likely these represent apocrine or sweat glands that have become plugged from you deodorant. If you use an antiperspirant the 'aluminum chlorohydrate' pinches off the gland so that they don't secrete fluid. It backs up and viola you have a bump. Change to deodorant alone. Other concerns would be abscess if you have pain/heat/redness at site or lymph node. If grow/become tender, see a doc. ...Read more

Without pic???: The most common cause of a localized ("beside my armpit" "thighs") is skin contact with an irritant or something to which you are allergic.
