I have this very painful bump on my butt cheek, it seems to reoccur every other month. Hurts to sit down and is inflamed, any treatments?
Herpes?: If it reoccurs in exactly the same location and completely disappears in between outbreaks it may be Herpes 1 or Herpes 2. The other possibility is recurrent boils due to Staph infection. I have a painful bump that developed on my butt cheek; it's not on or close to anus. Could it be a hemorrhoid? I often have to sit on wooden benches.

And, it is possible it may have been caused by a splinter - i don't know. You should get this seen, either in a prompt care of doctor's office, and soon if you are diabetic. Good luck. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
