Hello I have a reddish, pink swollen and semi -painful bump on the inside of my mouth near the middle to upper part of the inside of my cheek. Cancer?

Need more info: It depends on how long has it been there that you know off? If it is increasing in size and has been there for more than 2-3 weeks, then you need to go see a doctor to get it checked out. It is quite common to have canker sores in the mouth but they heal within 10-15 days with or without treatment. Anything that does not heal in 3-4 weeks is suspect for cancer. ...Read more

I have deep painful bumps only & always on my right cheek on face, takes months 2 go, what is it ?

If it is: In the skin, maybe deep acne. If it is deeper it could be stones in the parotid gland, or even a tumor. I don't think it is related to your thyroid condition or hay fever. Have it checked out. ...Read more

I keep getting these fluid filled bumps on my inner upper cheek near back teeth. Is this herpes or a mucoceles. They are not painful.

I keep getting these fluid filled bumps on my inner upper cheek near back teeth. Is this herpes or a mucoceles. They are not painful.

Prob mucocoeles: If they come and go and are not painful are probably mucocoeles. Herpetic lesions are usually painful. Here a picture is worth a thousand words and they need to be seen by someone when present for a correct diagnosis! ...Read more

I have a painful bump that developed on my butt cheek; it's not on or close to anus. Could it be a hemorrhoid? I often have to sit on wooden benches.

Simply NO: A hemorrhoid is an anal process, so a bump on the buttock is some form of carbuncle. In this day and age, MRSA infections arise as random areas of pustules. And, it is possible it may have been caused by a splinter - i don't know. You should get this seen, either in a prompt care of doctor's office, and soon if you are diabetic. Good luck. ...Read more

Skin infection: The bump you describe is likely an abscess, a bacterial infection caused once the skin barrier was compromised. It should be evaluated by a physician to determine the appropriate course of treatment. A healthtap prime or concierge consult may also suffice. ...Read more

Possible abcess: Sounds like you may have developed an abcess (a collection of pus/infection) in that area. If this is the case, you need tobee seen by a medical professional who can see if the pus needs to be drained out and possibly antibiotics. This should not get put off as these things can get very bad and the infection can spread, including into your body. ...Read more
