I stopped taking topiramate cold turkey 2 weeks ago. Is it possible to have painful urination as a side effect.

I stopped taking topiramate cold turkey 2 weeks ago. Is it possible to have painful urination as a side effect.

Probably not: That is a very interesting symptom, but it is not really attributable to the topiramate stopping. You may have cystitis, which can be diagnosed at your doctor's office by a simple urine test. ...Read more

I've 2 growths on my outer vagina. They are painful, difficulty urinating, & continuous spotting, despite the mirena (levonorgestrel) (which stopped it for yrs before)?

I've 2 growths on my outer vagina. They are painful, difficulty urinating, & continuous spotting, despite the mirena (levonorgestrel) (which stopped it for yrs before)?

Need a GYN evaluatn: Difficult to diagnose lesions without seeing them or taking a biopsy. Given your myriad of symptoms, you should seek an evaluation by a gynecologist to check out all of your symptoms. They may not be related to one another. Sometimes with mirena, (levonorgestrel) irregular bleeding can occur, and can be treated with a short course of estrogen prescribed by your doctor after getting an exam. ...Read more

Been on Cipralex for a week then stopped and having difficulty passing urine with low stream, it hurts and is very painful. How long will this last?

See below: Cipralex (Escitalopram) is an antidepressant of the "selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI)" class. Took 1 percocet 4urticaria dermatitis allergy, was very painful. gave urine sample 2 Dr of at least 1yr. Nervous meds will be stopped am not drug user?

Percocet: I believe that your doctor's concern may not be as much as you being a drug use or not, but where did you get the percocet from?! It is a controlled substance and is prescribed for moderate to severe pain and the person for whom it is prescribed is not supposed to share it even with family members and certainly not with strangers. The person who gave it to you may also lose his/her ability to get. ...Read more

I just finished antibiotics for uti and I am having mid back pain. No fever or painful urinating. Just peeing a lot. Can this be kidney infection?

I just finished antibiotics for uti and I am having mid back pain. No fever or painful urinating. Just peeing a lot. Can this be kidney infection?

Culture?: If you have urinary frequency, I would go immediately to your doctor and give another urine sample. If there were culture results from your UTI, they are used to direct treatment. If you had a complicated UTI with flank tenderness/fever/chills the treatment should be longer in duration and involve a dose of IV or IM Ceftriaxone in my opinion. You should also have had a full STI panel. See MD ...Read more
