Pain Under My Tongue Symptoms
I'm 34 yr's old & have noticed a varicose vein under my tongue. Feel well & look normal otherwise. No other symptom. Should I be worried? Thanks.

How old are you?: The scar you are talking about, could be a band, the band could limit the motion of the tongue, apparently it has not affecting you or your speech since you are a grown adult with unknown age. Usually if it was discovered at young age, specially before school age, we usually cut it off, to prevent the child from having a speech problem.

Hi andy, I have sore pain under my tongue where ducts of submandibular gland intersect with frenulum. I have this on rightside frenulum intersection.

Nothing: You probably bit your tongue while eating or in your sleep. Avoid further trauma by not eating sharp foods such as toast, chips and the like. Gargle with An antiseptic. Type mouth wash 2-3 times a day. Avoid trauma to the area when you brush your teeth. It will eventually heal on its own. Use Tylenol (acetaminophen) for pain. Ibuprophen or Aleve wil increase bleeding. See dentist if needed

Any swelling: In your mouth should raise a concern. It may or may not be an abscess. Regardless, any infection can spread, cause serious complications and be potentially life threatening.
