Pain Under Left Rib Cage Radiating To Back
Get seen: By the gravity of your questiion, you must be seen and evaluated.
Really bad pain under left rib cage and around back, started from a bad cough, has been 4 weeks and not getting any better even though cough stopped,?
Likely muscle: During and after a bad cough you can pull a muscle between your ribs or aggravate an abdominal muscle. If no shortness of breath and no history of blood clots, likely not a blood clot in your lungs. Other causes are pleurisy which is inflamed lining of the lung due to infection and possible swollen spleen from virus. Pleurisy and muscle inflammation improve with Motrin. Rash? Think shingles.
Pain under left rib cage that radiates to the upper back. Feels like its internal. What could this be? Xrays on ribs were normal, blood work on spleen
Many things radiant.: ..2 the upper back & 2 shoulder region. Sub diaphragm: spleen, stomach, splenic flexure of the colon, or air in the peritoneal cavity. Above the diaphragm: pulmonary, PE, pneumonia of any type. If rib imaging was normal U need a chest x-ray, & a CT of the chest/abdomen/pelvis. Good luck!
Chest?: It is difficult to tell what is exactly the problem without knowing what other symptoms you are having. Is there shortness of breath, nausea, vomiting, sweating? If so then you need to go to the ed in order to rule out any cardiac issues. Other possibilities are abdominal problems which cover a number of issues. Also muscular and rib inflammation which carries no danger to life. Get checked asap.

Blood in the urine: Blood in your urine is concerning for a urinary tract infection or other problem. This needs to be evaluated by your family physician.

I am 29 years, I am having pain in intervals under left rib cage and also on the back side a little lower part of shoulder bald and in left triceps.
? Neurologist: This type of doctor may be able to figure out why you are having this pain.
Need to get checked: Cardiac and gastric causes most likely, and these could be serious. Need to go to physican for eval. Stop Ibuprofen right away.
Let me explain: Two main reasons for pain in that area. 1-urinary tract system. 2- muscular-skeletal system. There are many other reasons but those the most common ones.
Kidney?: The organ you describe is probably a kidney, but you can experience pain in that area coming from a number of different organs, including liver, stomach, muscles and even the heart.
Hard to say: There are multiple potential causes, you should consider being seen. Possible causes can incude an irritation of a nerve in the thoracic spine, an inflammatory condition involving the pancreas or the lining of the lung, and multiple other causes. A detailed exam and appropriate studies can usually sort out the cause. Thank you for the question.
Should I be worried I've had a pain in my left side of the back of my rib cage at the bottom. I've had this pain for4 days.
Pain for 4 days: It depends if the pain is getting better or not. If it is getting better, then you should not be worried. If it is not getting better, then it becomes a concern. See if it is better or gone in the next couple of days. If it is not better or worsens, then I would recommend that you get it evaluated.See 1 more doctor answer
I am having pain in my left back side right at the rib cage. This has been going on for months on and off but the last week and is consistent?
Check kidney: It is possible to injure the tissues surrounding the ribs, but you would likely remember the incident. The area you describe overlies the left kidney, as well as other organs. Kidney infections are not rare and can cause damage if untreated. This type of pain deserves evaluation by your doctor.
