Could be tendinitis (inflamed tendon), a problem w/ a meniscus, arthritis, etc. Try putting an ice pack (over a towel to protect the skin) on it for 20 mins 3 times a day. 1: unlikely that you have developed arthritis, so soon, as it usually takes about 10 years, but I believe it can occur if the fracture wasn't anatomically reduced ; fixed, or if the fracture was really a bad one.
2: most likely sounds like a referred pain from your back with nerves to the leg affected.
See your orthopod to have it diagnosed.

Son has on/off pain on right side (back, hip, knee, thigh) for about 1 yr. Rarely severe, can limit his activity. Has hypotonia. Is a lefty. Cause?

A single underlying: Genetic or other medical cause of his ASD & hypotonia should be looked for. Lax or weak ligaments & joints often accompany low tone, decreased resistance to passive movement in muscles. When the "pulley system" of the pelvis & lower extremities is not aligned, pain can occur on standing or moving. A child neurologist or developmental/behavioral pediatrician & a pediatric orthopedist can help.

The most common possibilities include a fracture, ligament sprains or tears, cartilage tears, and a deep contusion/bruise to the bone/joint. You really should be evaluated as soon as possible by an orthopedic surgeon, or perhaps at least in a minor emergency room. In an er, xrays can be taken to evaluate for a broken bone. If it is more of a soft tissue injury, and if the diagnosis remains unclear after a physical exam by the physician, an MRI may be needed for additional information. ...Read more
