Pain Right Below My Belly Button
See a urologist.: The most common cause of pain during urination is a urinary tract infection. Much more rare, but fitting your description, is something called a patent urachus. When you were a fetus, a tube from your bladder left your belly button to convey your waste to your mother, called the allantois. This usually disappears, but can stay open, with urine collecting below the belly button or even leaking out. ...Read more
I run regularly, but when running today I felt a twisting/knot - like pain right below my belly button to the right. It's tender to touch.
Few possibilities: My guess is that it is an abdominal wall muscle strain, and it will resolve within a few days. Perhaps it will resolve after your next bowel movement. Some more serious internal disorders would be appendicitis, diverticulitis, twisting or volvulus of the intestine. If the pain is associated with fever, vomiting, diarrhea, very severe colicky pain, then obviously check with your doctor. ...Read more

You are describing pain where people with appendicitis localize their symptoms. If you were seen early on in the process, a ct and blood count could both miss the diagnosis. Since you posted your question 3 days ago, I assume things have gotten worse if you have appendicitis. Sometimes the appendix is located posteriorly behind the cecum and a ruptured appendix seals off creating an abscess. Patients with retrocecal appendicitis are often difficult to diagnose and the diagnosis is missed on the initial evaluation. If you are still having pain, you need to be re-evaluated. If examination is suggestive of a surgical abdomen, you should have exploratory surgery regardless of the ct results.
Physicians have become too dependent on imaging results and surgeons may wait too long to go in, resulting in a more complicated post surgical course and more morbidity. ...Read more

I have a pain just below my belly button, it started today and hurts when I move or bend down. What could it be?
Hernia?: Most likely, it is a muscle tear or ligament tear of the abdominal wall. If it does not bulge out, only occurs with movement, then it is likely a muscle tear/ligament tear of the abdominal wall. If it bulges out, can't be reduced, or pain increases, it needs to be immediately worked up by a doctor. Otherwise, i'd follow up with your doctor in a few days if it doesn't improve by then. ...Read more

Too big: Women should have a waist size of 33" or less, measured at the level of the navel. Higher measurements imply too much visceral fat, the most deadly & hardest to lose.
