Back pain treatment

Back_pain
There are several ways to treat the back pain depending on the cause of the pain. It might include exercise, physical therapy, medication, chiropractic therapy, injections and surgery. The least invasive way is exercise and physical therapy. You can consult your PCP, pain management doctor or spine surgeon for evaluation

I have scoliosis, wore Boston Jacket ages 8-14 23hr/d now at age 23 I'm in severe pain alot and painful to do everyday task could it be getting worse?

Scoliosis changes

The curve associated with scoliosis can change even after puberty but the changes occur more slowly. Ask your primary care doctor to refer you to a spine surgeon specializing in scoliosis surgery. They will likely start with conservative physical therapy to strengthen you core muscles. But it is good to get established in case the curvature of your spine changes and surgery is needed.

Need Medication Increase I am only 25 years old but have Scoliosis through out my spine and arthritis in my upper back which are both extremely painful and crippling. Even simple tasks are hard because of these issues. In addition to my back I have severe

Scoliosis and pain

Arthritis
Scoliosis is a non painful condition and if you are experiencing pain then a complete workout is indicated to find the source of your pain and begin proper treatment. At your age your scoliosis should not be crippling you and other sources should be found. Treatment properly can result in a painless life style and you should be able to enjoy all the activities your desire with proper care

Dr. Edward Neilsen answered:

I have struggled with severe hemorrhoids since the birth of my first child. They are extremely painful now during my 2nd pregnancy. Best RX?

Depends

Feces
Many hemorrhoids can be treated by surgical excision. Although it sounds horrific, the area can easily be numbed and the hemorrhoid removed. Still other hemorrhoids can be banded and they will fall off. However, there is always the possibility of recurrence. Mainstays in treatment include stool softners, plenty of fiber, maintaining a good diet, and limiting time on the commode.

I have a severe cramp in my left leg above my outer ankle every night to the point of not being able to sleep and it's very painful. just recently I found out that my best friend that works with the side by side is having the same exact problem. same leg

Get checked

Leg
Worst case . One might have to consider a possible blood clot in the lower leg. Talk with your doctor ASAP or go to the nearest ER. Best case. You might have a short leg causing a leg muscle to cramp from overuse. I would not ignore the problem.

Which type of pain management is there for painful scoliosis?

It depends

Pain_management
It depends if you are an adult or a teen. Opioids and muscle relaxers are options. Nerve blocks may help. Physical therapy and a back brace may help. See a spine/scoliosis specialist first.

Does scoliosis cause pain? Is scoliosis painful, or does it depend on the severity? .

Idiopathic scoliosis

Open-uri20130505-10409-1ngt7l8
Idiopathic (spontaneous without a cause) scoliosis is not a painful condition. Back pain in scoliosis is similar to that of people with a straight spine unless lumbar curves exceed 30-50 degrees and thoracic curves exceed 50-70 degrees. Curve progression occurs with aging by about .5 degree per year. It is not likely to "compress organs" or cause breathing, heart or neurologic probs unless severe.

I understand you are 26 years old. scoliosis usually is not painful unless you moderate to sever scoliosis, usually late in life you may developed osteoarthritis in the area. So I advise to check it out and let me know.

Scoliosis & arthritis lower back. I'm only 20, what is some treatment as some days it's quite painful!?

Sorry to hear about

Pain
your pain. Bracing is a viable option if your are not yet doing this. If you, core strengthening in PT can help build support along with your specific biomechanics. If your pain is facet mediated, you could have diagnostic blocks with subsequent radiofrequency ablation of nerves that could be driving the pain. See an experienced pain Doc for this option. Hope this helps!
