Pain On The Top Of My Wrist

YourPrimaryPhysician: At least decision maker, is always yourself, deciding what is relevant, what options sought, whose assistance you seek (powerfully determining/influencing what options are promoted) what options pursued & who lives with the outcomes. Rec: study anatomy on the net, Google images & videos & work to understand the possibilities. MDs can help yet insurance rewarded for? Time &? $ options, ? best..
Pain from the top of my wrist to inside of middle finger I can rub the right side of wrist and feel pain on the inside of my middle finger?
Nerve entrapment: You should see a hand surgeon. This may be one sign of carpal tunnel syndrome, correctable surgically or remediable with support devices. It may be other things as well but you need to be examined after a detailed history of how you use your hands at work and play, etc. Hope this gets better soon.See 1 more doctor answer
For my job I do a lot of writing and for abit now on and off I've been getting wrist pain on top on my wrist. What coul it be an how can I stop it?
May be overuse: If it happened after writing consider overuse of the wrist tendons in the back of wrist. If the non dominant hand is also painful or other joints hurt then it may be a more systemic condition and additional blood work would be recommended. Arthritis of the hand/wrist joints is possible. Initially, try resting it, using wrist brace, and see www. Osha. Gov/sltc/etools/computerworkstations/.
I have pain the the top of my hand into my wrist. It hurts when I stretch it, but slowly goes away but when I put pressure on it it comes back. Help?
Wrist lump: Probably a ganglionic cysts. They are benign but may cause transient pain when tapped. If it is large and causes significant pain or limits range of motion, you should see a hand specialist/orthopedist.
My wrist feels like its locked up. There is a little knot on the top of my wrist, could this be a calcium deposit? It hurts to bend wrist and touching
A common bump on: The back if the wrist is a ganglion cyst which can be painful. Other bumps are bone bumps called carpal boss. Calcium deposits or gouty deposits are known as tophi. Any of these can also irritate adjacent structures. Tendonitis or tenosynovits, tendon inflammation can present as a soft bump.See 1 more doctor answer
What to do if I have a ganglion cyst on the top of my wrist and it's painful. I went to theelse had had this problem with a cyst?
Dorsal Carpal Gangli: Carpal ganglions are a frequent cause of wrist pain but you should have it evaluated by a Hand Surgeon because extensor tenosynovitis and other issues can mimic it. Do not hit it with a book! I've seen patients who have fractured their wrists trying this home remedy. Aspiration/injection or excision is the way to go if these are painful.See 1 more doctor answer
I have a pea sized bump on top of my wrist. It's kinda hard but also soft when I touch it. It moves with my tendon. Midly irritating.
Ganglionic cyst: It could be a ganglionic cyst. Your doctor can examine it and let you you know for sure what the lump is.
I thick my ganglion cyst is going down as fast as it go up if it is why or how is it go down as fast as it go up it on the top of my wrist?
Synovial fluid: Fills ganglion cysts. These cysts are fluid filled sacs and synovial fluid is what lubricates the joint, fluid enters the cyst through a tiny attachment from the joint and makes the cyst large. This is why activity or force seemingly makes the ganglion larger as more pressure in the joint leaks into the cyst. Typically it's a like one way valve into the cyst but they can drain back spontaneously.See 1 more doctor answer
I have a tiny, 3mm, black spot on the top of my wrist w/ a little gray in it. Since it's so small do I have to have it checked or can it wait?
Get it checked out: Even though the spot seems small, it's always best to have it looked at, especially if it's new or changing in any way. Spots that are darker in pigment, have irregular borders or asymmetry are also more concerning. Most physicians would recommend a full skin exam every 1-2 years to screen for skin cancer but don't wait until your next visit if this spot is new.See 1 more doctor answer
I go to culinary school (constant wrist activity) and need a ganglion cyst removed from the top of my wrist. Around how long should I need off?
3-7 days: Depending on the procedure either open surgery or arthroscopy, post-operative recovery times can vary. Also, in many cases there are other joint pathology identified during the surgery. In most cases, the wrist needs to be splinted for 3-7 days. For mucous cysts, there is no need for splinting and the wrist can be used immediately.See 4 more doctor answers

When I try to do press ups my wrist on my right hand the top of my wrist hurts and it hurts to bend it forward had for a while on an off?

I have a wrist pain on the top part of my hand whenever I put any type of pressure like doing pushups, is this carpaltunnel or something else?
Sprain: Doubt carpal tunnel which generally presents with numbness/tingling in all or some of fingers: thumb, index, long (middle), and partially ring finger. A sprain, stress injury from repetetive use or impaction, ganglion cyst are common causes. See an orthopedist for proper diagnosis.See 1 more doctor answer
I'm feeling a very sharp pain on the top of my left hand any time I move it in the slightest. There is a bump about a inch up closer to my wrist.
Possible ganglion: Cyst, an accumulation of gelatinous joint fluis which forms at flexing parts of the body. I suggest an orthoppedic evaluation.See 2 more doctor answers
Last 2 mornings woken up with pain on the top side of my hand from my wrist to my ring finger, hard to grip things and hurts when touched. Feels broke?
Handy Helper: When we sleep it's possible that we sleep so deeply that we fail to move periodically. This can result in prolonged compression of nerves in our extremities. When this happens we wake with pain and discomfort in the involved limb which usually resolves upon waking. If this repeatedly occurs the problem can worsen. Occasionally night splints can help like those worn for the wrist for carpal tunnel.
I got a holter test done came back that my heart was adding beats and I feel my heart beating on my back when laying down and I can see my pulse on top of my wrist is this dangerous?
Depends on rhythms: It all depends on what the Holter says. Did your symptoms (back heart beat and wrist pulse) correlate with an abnormal rhythm on the Holter? (Hopefully you kept a symptom. Diary when wearing the Holter) If the underlying rhythm I'd dangerous (VTACH or other) then a Cardiologist consult is needed. If the underlying rhythm is aberrant it could still be benign (atrial tach or atrial flutter). TTYD.
