I have pain on the top of my head towards the back but only causes problems when I press on it any ideas what it is?

Muscular: This is more of a muscle tension headache than likely anything serious. There are muscles along the spine that insert to the back of the skull. Some considerations: Has there been past head trauma? Is there related ear pain, sinus pain, or neck pain (posteriorly)? Is there any life stressor or tension affecting you? Are you overdue for glasses or visual acuity followup? Has there been a Head CT done? MRI? Are there any recent new medications? Slightly sharp isolated pain on the top of my head slightly to the left. It gets worse when I press my tongue on the roof of my mouth. Any ideas?

Not sure, ck sinuses: The only apparent connection between roof of mouth and top of head can be some type of referred pain from inflamed tissues from the surrounding Structures. Relax, not tumor!: Headaches are very common, most often due to stress. Brain tumors are uncommon.The pain on the top of your head is not a symptom of a brain tumor. Perhaps it's related to the position of your head and neck when sleeping. Don't sleep with your head elevated on more than one pillow. Likely your symptoms are temporary.
