I have a mengimoa on the right side . I have pain on the left side of my neck could this be related to the tumor ?

Depends on location: It would depend on the location of the meningioma. If it is on the right side of your brain adjacent to the sensory area, it is possible that it might be irritating the regions that subserves the left side of the neck. But it would have to be in a very specific location. Typically, there is associated numbness or involvement of other areas on the left side of the body.

I had my right lymphoids removed a month ago. I have been having sever pain on the left side of my neck. Why the left side and not right?

See doctor: It could've been the position your head was in when they removed the right sided lymphoid tissue. Also with your history of throat cancer, you have to be closely watched by your doctor. So, if you're in severe pain, it's best to call your pcp, and let her/him know what you're experiencing. So they can prescribe something for relief, and also document this in your chart.

Yesterday when I turned my head quickly, I got a piercing pain on the left side of my neck. Just a whole ago the same area I heard a a ripping noise?

Pinched nerve: It's likely that when you turned your head quickly you pinched a nerve in the neck. I'm not sure how to interpret what you refer to as a ripping noise. In any event, if the pain disappears and you have no continuing neck problems I wouldn't be concerned. Of course, if your neck discomfort continues, you would need to see a physician for evaluation and treatment.

Evaluate Neck: If you are not improving have your doctor order a cervical spine mri. Many times a herniated disc in the neck can cause arm pain especially if you have not improved with the medications and physical therapy. If it is a herniated disc you may need evaluation from a spine specialist to determine what other options might be needed (injections, surgery, etc) to help reduce pain.

Maybe Torticollis?: This condition can have many causes, and sometimes no known cause at all. Some diseases, some medications, some trauma or strain all are possibly causes. And sometimes it just happens. Depending on how much acute pain you are in will determine if you need to be seen promptly

Unclear: More information is needed to determine possible causes. Muscle aches and pains may be due to simple postural problems while working or sleeping, however, some neurological conditions may present with similar symptoms. An accurate diagnosis is important so that appropriate treatment is recommended. Therefore, consultation with your primary care physician or physiatrist is recommended.

Hello, I was laying down and moved my head to the right and heard a loud pop. Immediately after I felt a sharp pain on the left side of my neck, I am having difficulty moving now.

You strained a: muscle in your neck. It probably hurt when you changed position suddenly. Or you popped a vertebral disc, but that is very unusual unless you have had significant trauma to the neck in the past. Either way if it doesn't get better with ibuprofen and some massage, and if it primarily hurts right in the middle of the neck spine, then you need to go get some MRI at the ER.

Neck pain: It might be as simple as some neck spasm. See your doctor to make sure it is not something else. He or she can then give you medication to help.
