Jaw issue: In the case of pain around the ear, infections are often misdiagnosed. The most common reason why people have pain on the side of their head and around their ear is because of the jaw and jaw muscle spasm. I recommend a soft diet anti-inflammatories and ice to the areas that hurt 20 minutes 3 to 4 times a day. If not feeling better after a few days you should see an ENT doctor and also your dentist.

I'm having sharp pains on the left side of my head in front of the left ear that comes and goes. It just started within the last 2 hours.
DrFloYes, Aunt FloNo: If it's in the temple (whether you're Jewish or not) it might be concerning. It's only been 2 hours so somewhat early to draw conclusions- so take some ibuprofen and see how it goes. Press around the temple area for any tenderness. If it's tender then you should probably see a doctor, especially if your vision in that eye changes. If it persists or worsens today see someone (no, not Aunt Flo).
I have a large dark discoloration on one side of my face, now it has been spreading around my whole face included ears, it started since I was born?
Skin discoloration: Rashes are difficult to diagnose online. You should see your family practice physician if you develop any worsening symptoms.
Parotid?: If these bumps are hard and are in front of the ear, they may be arising from the parotid gland. This is the gland that secretes thin fluid into the mouth. I would advise that you see a head and neck surgeon for an appropriate diagnosis.
