I would need more infromation to give a better answer, such as hip pain one side, low back pain one side, is the pain in the foot at the midpoint of the outside of the foot, abnormal shoe wear as one shoe wears different than the other? Try icing it for 10: minutes every 4 hrs. Good for sport strains. If you can take over the counter Aleve, (naproxen) do so for a couple of days. If worse in 48 hrs, please see the urgent care for a possible xray. Get well. ...Read more

Possible: It's fascitis but usually symptoms occur to inside of foot arch near heel. Cold be your lateral band or possible nerve entrapment . See your doctor. ...Read more

A few possibilities: Depending on where the pain is, this could be capsulits, tendonitis or even a developing stress fracture. Your best bet is to see a podiatrist for an evaluation and x-rays. Treatment will depend on the cause of the pain but rest, ice, good shoe support and maybe some Ibuprofen or Naproxen can help. ...Read more

Needs evaluation: I have found that there is usually a primary location of injury/inflammation. Many times we will favor the area and shift our weight. It seems that the outside of the foot ends up bearing weight causing pain there. I am imagining your primary pain to be near the ball of the foot. Sounds like a tailor: bunion. It is caused by improper footwear. It is at the base of the little toe. Usually we see this in people with a"splay foot". This means when your foot hits the ground the forefoot widens. Have 2 look for this barefooted. If dress shoes & heelx make it more sore that is most likely the problem. ...Read more

Weakness?: Your pain symptoms are suggesive of nerve impingement/sciatica but it is more concerning that you noted weakness in your conditions. If this pain is making you weak it adds urgency to the situation.
