Needs evaluation: I have found that there is usually a primary location of injury/inflammation. Many times we will favor the area and shift our weight. It seems that the outside of the foot ends up bearing weight causing pain there. I am imagining your primary pain to be near the ball of the foot. Sounds like a tailor: bunion. It is caused by improper footwear. It is at the base of the little toe. Usually we see this in people with a"splay foot".
