Do you work out frequently and could have pulled a muscle.? Atypical CP: Your description sounds sounds less like pleuritic (lungs) and more like costochondritis (musculoskeletal) pain. Without any other history it does not sound like a heart attack.

If you haven't been evaluated by a physician, you should be seen ASAP. Sharp chest pain isn't typical for cardiac disease, but women have atypical symptoms. Even young people can have heart disease. At age 27: This is not likely to be a cardiac problem...Look to you NECK!! A pinched nerve in your neck at C6-7 vertebrae can cause these symptoms!
