What would cause a dull burning pain on left side of chest above breast line and below collar bone? 20 minutes so far. Pcp says heart ok.

What would cause a dull burning pain on left side of chest above breast line and below collar bone? 20 minutes so far. Pcp says heart ok.

A couple of things: There are a few things that can cause that symptom. Regurgitation and reflux probably being one of the more common ones. If your PCP has ruled out the heart and there's nothing else except that prolonged burning then, I think it less likely cardiac. You may also have an entrapped nerve twig supplying the pectoral region or skin (perhaps trapped by the clavicle)...sensory neuropathy.

Pain in left side of chest above breast. Comes and goes, not constant. Sometimes a sharp pain, today more of an ache.

Pain in left side of chest above breast. Comes and goes, not constant. Sometimes a sharp pain, today more of an ache.

Musculature: If you do not feel a lump, warmth etc., then anything that is sharp or stabbing is usually of musculoskelatal origin (rib, muscles, tendons). Pleurisy would usually be associated with a cough and fever. This pain pattern is not typical of cardiac origin.

Dull/sharp pain in upper left side of chest above breast and into neck. Hurt worse to breath in?

Dull/sharp pain in upper left side of chest above breast and into neck. Hurt worse to breath in?

Pleurisy or costochondritis: Costochondritis is an inflammation often caused by a virus in the Cartlidge in your ribs it will hurt when you breathe and if you press on it. If it hurts when you breathe but not if you press on it it's more likely pleurisy. If it's not too bad heat and anti-inflammatories like Motrin will help. This does take a long time to improve so don't get frustrated if your symptoms get worse see your doctor

Could hormonal changes in a woman cause a swollen lymph node in left side of chest (above breast, below collar bone) for 2 days now? No fever yet.

Could hormonal changes in a woman cause a swollen lymph node in left side of chest (above breast, below collar bone) for 2 days now? No fever yet.

NO: This should not be related to a hormonal problem. Usually when a lymph node (if that is what it is) enlarges as a response to infection or inflammation of which there can be many causes. It may not be a lymph node. It could be a cyst or an early abcess. If it persists, it needs to be checked by a doctor.

I'm having sharp chest pains on left side of chest above my breast when I breathe in?

I'm having sharp chest pains on left side of chest above my breast when I breathe in?

Chest pain: That is unlikely a heart problem as it changes with breathing so one down of the bad things. It could be pleurisy or inflammation of the linings of the lung and chest wall, or musculoskeletal as in the muscles in between the ribs that get stretched with breathing. In any case try advil or aleve (naproxen) or your Ibuprofen and see, and then go see your doctor and discuss it.

Mild random chest pain on left side of chest. Usually under breast. Almost feels like ribs. Had EKG, bw, stress test, ECHO and xray. All normal?!

Maybe it is ribs: Having all those tests you mentioned being negative is good, and seems to rule out a cardiac condition. Maybe it is a rib issue such as costochondritis. best wishes.

Vibration sensation: The sensation can be caused by your heart bumping up against a thin chest wall giving you a funny feeling. Nothing serious.

Acs vs PE vs bronch: Would see an urgent care as it could be a sign you have a pulmonary emboli or an acute cardiac event or may be related to bronchitis or muscular skeletal pain.

Sharp stabbing pain in left side of chest in ribs next to breast. Stops me in my tracks and can't move. Last 1-5 mins. Ideas? Be worried?

Sharp stabbing pain in left side of chest in ribs next to breast. Stops me in my tracks and can't move. Last 1-5 mins. Ideas? Be worried?

Chest pain: The pain you describe is most often musculoskeletal and may be a strained intercostal muscle. It can be due to activity or a cough but if it is at rest, is associated with shortness of breath, chest pressure or other similar symptoms seek immediate medical attention. Women often have less signs of a heart condition and their first event is often a more serious one then men.

I'm having vibrating sensation on left side of chest near underarm and breast area. All labs normal. Some shooting pain in areola.

I'm having vibrating sensation on left side of chest near underarm and breast area. All labs normal. Some shooting pain in areola.

Nerve pain: This is typical of nerve irritation. Might want to ask your doc what they think. I would certainly consider mechanical issues in the breast including masses / recent trauma / etc.

Sharp pain in left side of chest under breast when I sometimes take a deep breath been noticng it the past week, esp if lie down on my left arm age23

Sharp pain in left side of chest under breast when I sometimes take a deep breath been noticng it the past week, esp if lie down on my left arm age23

Atypical CP: Your description sounds sounds less like pleuritic (lungs) and more like costochondritis (musculoskeletal) pain. Without any other history it does not sound like a heart attack. Costochondritis can be treated with anti inflammatory medication such as nsaids.

Tingling on left side of chest and under breast on left side. Previously had x-rays at ER but have a app soon at my family doc.

Does not sound anything seriou: Your primary care physician may give you more answer after examining you. Could be coming from rib sprain. I wouldn't be very concerned with your age and not having any other risk factors for any heart disease..

Sudden sharp pains on left side of chest under breast? Worsens when inhaling or moving. Have to take shallow breaths until over. Lasts a few minutes.

Probably gas.: Most sudden, sharp pains in the chest and upper abdomen are due to gas. Every time you eat and swallow, you ingest air (gas). At times these gas bubbles cause sharp pains. Bend and stretch, move about.
