Sounds like there's a whole lot going on here. Any one of the areas of pain could be the problem and compensation causing the rest.

Stretches do help:
A fellow sufferer here, as well as several MDs in our practice. The stretches on the link below do help, you will see progressive improvement. We all had a great deal of success with them. In fact I used to have relapses until I got religious about doing these.

Issue, ie, spine lesion in the lower back. The areas you have problems with are from L1 level down to l5-s1. So get checked by pcp and possible referral to a spine doc /orthopod. You probably have arthritis (spondylitis) with some disc lesions.
Avoid bending, lifting heavy weight, including grand kids. Do regular exercises within limits of discomfort.
